Yoshitsune was given to the temple Kurama, Kyoto, for supervision. He has turned 15 and breaks out of Kurama. Yoritomo, now 31, lives in exile in the province of Izu. His life is monotonous and unremarkable. He meets Masako, the daughter of the local lord Hojo.
